A crackle glaze was chosen for this contemporary interior. A decorative treatment with congruent impact was required for this intimate entrance lobby. A crackle glaze paint effect utilizing two harmonizing colours was chosen to link chromatically and texturally to the natural materials and soft furnishings used in the design for this area and the adjoining rooms. Crackle glaze is essentially a minimalist paint effect due to its fine texture and the close proximity of colour and tone in the different paint layers used.
