weathered paint effects

This weathered paint effect of old painted wood, somehow reminiscent of drift wood or antique boiserie is created by a stringy base coat which has been patinated and wiped to reveal the high spots of the previous paint layer. The effect is reproducible in a variety of colour-ways, all can however be muted, softened and patinated to give the time worn appearance. The weathered paint effect is similar to the distressed paint finish, all are emulating the effects that the passage of time has on objects and walls.
