minimalist paint effects
This is a more minimalist paint effect; a colour wash and sponge off. More reduced finishes are undertaken in practice but do not show up in photographs. I have undertaken jobs where the working on the decorated wall was only visible within a range of three feet. However the ambience somehow registers to the eye from a greater distance and this is probably due to the subtle refraction of light through a transparent glaze layer which is vastly different from light hitting an opaque and matt surface. Thus it is that these subtle minimalist paint effects can achieve understated yet profound modifications to the interior architecture of buildings.
