a mural in the Pompeian manner

The design was chosen to brighten and enliven a basement hallway. The mural was run out on walls and ceilings and had to work with extant geometric marble floor designs and oak doors of fielded panel construction. This faux fresco mural draws its inspiration from Pompeian wall decorations.
